Abstrak

Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 (DMT2) merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan pengelolaan jangka panjang. Self-efficacy berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pasien mengendalikan penyakit. Program Keperawatan Diabetes Self-Management Education (KP-DSME) menjadi strategi intervensi yang dapat membantu pasien meningkatkan keyakinan diri dalam mengelola kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pengalaman pasien DMT2 dalam meningkatkan self-efficacy melalui pendampingan KP-DSME. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi interpretatif. Partisipan adalah 60 pasien DMT2 yang telah mengikuti program KP-DSME minimal 6 minggu. Analisis data dilakukan dengan Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa KP-DSME tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan, tetapi juga memperkuat aspek psikologis dan sosial pasien. Dengan demikian  Pendampingan KP-DSME terbukti mampu meningkatkan self-efficacy pasien DMT2 melalui edukasi, dukungan emosional, dan perubahan perilaku sehat. Program ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara lebih luas sebagai strategi keperawatan berkelanjutan guna meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien.
